Follow bot force follow range

it would be cool if the follow range for follow mode forced my bot to stay within that range, while still maintaing the kiting and escape functionality. its quite annoying watching my bot kit halfway across the map because its running from a mob. if i have follow range set to 50 it should be hard forced to stay within that 50 units.

Specific Request:

  • A setting would be implemented to force the bot to stay within the user defined follow range.
  • The bot will only perform any other action while it is within the follow range the user sets.
  • If the bot is outside of the follow range, the bot will ONLY move towards the leader until it is within the follow range.

Benefit to users:

  • Users who are using the follow bot while piloting the leader will have greater control over the follower bot. Repositioning the bot out of AoEs will be much easier.
  • The follow bot will behave according to user expectations. A follow bot should not rush off into combat, or kite halfway across a map.
  • The follow bot will no longer get stuck in combat with a monster and become further and further behind the leader.
  • Users who do not pilot the leader themselves can uncheck the setting to allow the bot to perform as it does currently.

Examples of how the feature might work:

  • User sets the toggle to force the follow bot to stay within the follow range.
  • The bot falls behind the user due to movement speed, or something similar.
  • The bot will move towards the user until it is within the follow range. Until it is within that follow range, the bot will not engage in it’s combat routine.
  • The bot enters the follow range of the leader. Combat routines engage.
  • If the bot were to move outside of the follow range during a combat routine, etc, the bot would immediately cease any other actions, and move to the leader.

really nice suggestion, will keep it bookmarked
